My Journey

My name is Annette, and I'm the head cowgirl for The Spirited Cowgirl Boutique. Thank you for taking a few moments to learn more about me.

Growing up in the Sonoran Desert of Tucson, Arizona, my love for horses, dogs, beautiful sunsets, and turquoise began very early.

I didn't have the opportunity to have a horse or pony, but if a stray dog was out on the streets, it was coming home with us. I still remember my father saying to my mother and me, "What have you brought home now?"

It was my mother who instilled compassion in my heart, and it still drives me today. Far too often, I'm told, "You can't save them all," but I don't listen!

Fast forward, I finally got my first horse, and I never looked back! After competing in the hunter/jumper and dressage arenas, I find that just being on the back of a horse is how I reconnect and find my peace and balance.
